Managing Money Empowers (MME)

Managing Money Empowers is a company designed to help consumers obtain the knowledge needed to improve their credit so they can reach their financial goals. Some people believe they can never achieve good credit. Hopefully, after attending an MME seminar, or reading an MME book, they will leave feeling empowered to make the changes in their lives to achieve success.
M. Joyce Brown is a Facilitator with Managing Money Empowers, a company she founded after serving 16 years as the Housing Officer and Administrator of the Dallas County Home Loan Counseling Center. As a Facilitator with Managing Money Empowers, Joyce’s goal is to provide financial literacy seminars to people not normally exposed to the principles required to manage personal finances successfully. While employed at Dallas County she developed a free credit repair workshop called “Do It Yourself Credit Repair for Mortgage Loan Approval” to provide an alternative to credit repair companies that were scamming first-time homebuyers. Since October 2001, over four thousand people have attended the credit repair workshop and learned the correct way to increase their credit scores.
Joyce has been involved in the housing industry for over 25 years, as a real estate agent, top producing mortgage loan officer, and housing counselor, and has helped hundreds of first-time homebuyers with damaged credit achieve their dream of homeownership. She has served on numerous boards and commissions in the City of Dallas, has received the Humanitarian Award by the Women’s Council of Dallas Association of Real Estate Brokers in 2014, and serves as President of the Glendale Heights Neighborhood Association. She holds a BS in Business and Public Administration from The University of Texas at Dallas.
